I understand that Anderson has already told you about the offer made to you by the Government of Hong Kong. I am writing now to confirm this offer which is as follows.

alary. £125 per month, for a stay of 2 months in Hong Kong, ith the possibility of an extension of this period.
ubsistence Allowance in the Colony,
per month. Besides this, accommodation will be provided in a Government hostel for which you will be charged H.K. $80 plus approximately H.K.X130 for your board. (This charge is the equivalent of about £13 per month for board and lodging.)
